Without a Camera
I’m not often without a camera. I actually have one with me; but since I started shooting film I forget all the little things needed to make sure you can shoot digital. In that spirit I forgot to bring a memory card so I’m seeing all these photos I can’t take. I would write them down but Michael David Murphy (whom i am a big fan of from afar) has already cornered that market. I wanted to give him his props for it in case someone hadn’t seen it - he has a site called Unphotographable it’s really a brilliant concept; a text account of all the photos he has not taken. It reminds me of the Poem by Heather McHugh titled”What He Thought”; click the link to hear her read it as she brings an understanding to her work through her reading aloud.
