Nerd Reprise

I bought Rock Band (luckily I don’t live alone so I’m not trying to play the drums, sing and use the bass and guitar at once). Here’s what I’ve learned:

1. I have no rythm - i can’t play the drums, i get nervous, i sweat, the kick drum throws me into some sort of spastic frenzy, that i haven’t thrown the drumsticks through a window is a near miracle

2. i have a perfect pitch - at least according to the software. i haven’t turned the mic up enough to know if my perfect pitch has a melodious sound paired with it, but for now, knowing i’m not tone deaf is enough

3. the new guitar is wonky - might just be me, but i’m using older wireless guitars as the response time is better and the strumming easier

4. women are not meant to sing radiohead

I’ll be rocking again tonight.
