Mickey Smith on 20×200

 l am really big fan of Mickey Smith - she was a former hot shot and  I met her through the competition.  She is working on this beautiful body of work called Volume.  When you see the photos it’s one of those moments when you think “that’s simple”, but you look at the photos, and the contents, the color, the texture, the words on the spines of these reference compendiums and you’re stirred to think.  I am stirred to think.  I want to touch the scene, but not because it’s just so perfect, the angles, the color.  It’s still.  I say buy - and make sure to see her other work.
